At long last, GPN is bringing you a slew of updates, just in time to enjoy for spring break (for you fellow college students out there)! If you have a little bit of downtime in store, or need a bit of Proops to cheer you up from the winter blues, then hopefully GPN's latest updates will be of use to you!

First though, since I forgot to mention it before, Greg Proops Net has actually had its first birthday. That's right, folks - GPN's been alive and kicking for well over a year now (save for our bit of downtime a few months back), and we intend to stick around for many more years to come! Our birthday was actually back in January, but as it received no nod, well, it's time to celebrate it now, with this massive update!

To kick things off, you might have noticed that the front page video is shiney and new. Mr. Proops himself was exceedingly gracious to shoot that quick little promo for me so that I might use it for the website. Big thanks to Greg for being so kind and taking the time, and for making an awesome little video!

Next, I'd like to announce GPN's latest addition to the site: the Graphics page! The Graphics page features numerous buttons, banners, and colorbars for you to use on your blog, Livejournal, myspace, website, wherever! Its link can be found under the 'Art' tab in the menu. However, as it's a new link, I haven't had time to go through every single page and add it into the menu, so some page might not have it linked yet. You can always access it through the main page, as well as others, while I hurry up and add it to the rest of the site. Likewise, if you are an online artist and would like to contribute to GPN, you're more than welcome to send in your creations to me, Webmistress Diane.

Our next biggest update definitely has to be the Galleries! We have added a colossal amount - 1191 new photos and screencaps - since our last update. The new additions can be found in the following sections - please do check them out:

For those of you craving something new to watch, never fear! GPN has added 8 new videos for your entertainment viewing purposes. They can all be found in their appropriate sections on the Video Clips page. They consist of:

As the end of January and the beginning of February approaches, I decided that it was about time for another massive update.

To kick things off this time, three brand-new sections have been added to GPN.  The first is the Shopping Spree, which is a link portal to websites that contain Greg memorabilia on sale and available for purchase.  It's handy to use if you're trying to find a place to buy his DVDs, comedy albums, AudibleProops, and more.  The second new area is the Calendar, which is just a fun page for fans who would like to have a Proops 2009 calendar to use for everyday referencing, to decorate their walls with, and so forth.  It's a work in progress, and so far only three of the twelve months have been posted.  Hopefully more will be up soon!  The last all-new area is Why We Love Greg, a page specifically made for fans to list their personal reasons why the big ocelot means so much to them.  It's simply a fun little way to compile fans' - of all ages, across the globe - responses and reviews.

Greg Proops Net has returned!

After being shut down for nearly two months, Greg Proops Net has reopened its pearly gates once more to Proops fans of all ages across the globe.  The return of the site is primarily thanks to Mr. Proops himself, who asked, in person, for the site to make a comback on the interwebs, and to all of the loyal visitors and viewers of GPN who took the time and effort to email me, asking for the site back.  And thus, here we are - with a small host of new features to boast!

Probably our biggest and most important new feature is the spiffy new news system.  There are now two functional ways to keep up with your Greg-related news.  The Proops Periodical will serve as the sole source for all things having to do with Greg - tour updates, insider information on his upcoming roles and film work, release dates, and so forth.  The Network News will act as the gateway to updates and info concerning the main website.  Any time anything will be added to GPN, it will be reported via The Network News - from video clips, to audio snippets, to new icons, and so forth.  What is so nice about these news systems are how fully functional and easy to use they are.  On the righthand side you'll see different categories, tags, and links that will help you browse and navigate through old and past news, allowing you to catch up on things you either might have missed, or to quickly and simply relocate a bit of news that you wanted to re-read.  You can also type in phrases, keywords, etc., into the searchbox, and find things that way as well.  All posts are automatically archived per month.

If you have Livejournal, you can also watch both news systems and have all updates and feeds go directly onto your friends page.  Please watch and add ProopsNews and ProopsNetNews to your friends list for instant updates!

Probably our next biggest set of news is that, after a good deal of hard work, hand-coding, editing, and designing, the Greg Proops Net Forum - The Proops Experience is finally open for business!  Please do flock on over and check it out, and start posting away!  There are a series of threads and sections for your discussion delight.  Just please be sure to read over the rules and regulations before posting.  Enjoy!

Another big change is that the Icons And Avatars section has been utterly revamped.  Each artist now has their own individual page with links to their personal pages, how they wish to be credited, etc.  It's a much better system to give more credit to the artists who deserve them, who happily and kindly allow GPN to display their beautiful work.
